Metropolis will be in attendance with FIVE showcasing artists and TWO Ed Session Presenters, plus agents and staff who want to talk to you about how we can bring our talent to your campus! Mesmerizing Illusionist

Kid Ace is an international illusionist who is recognized as one of magic’s rising stars. His acts have taken him around the world from the famous Apollo Theater to the Czech Republic for a private performance for Madonna. After touring the country performing at different universities and theaters, Kid Ace headlined his one-man show “Underground Magic” at the Elektra Theatre in the heart of Times Square. At the close of the show’s run, Ace signed on to headline Soft Touch Productions’ “Circus Bahamas: MAGIC AND DANCE” show touring in the Bahamas. Kid Ace can put on an elaborate stage show or a low-key performance of close magic. This performer is versatile, dynamic, and his talents can fit any budget or venue.

My Body Sings Electric’s music resonates with a sense of playfulness and lust for life. Call their music alternative. Call it indie. Call it pop. Call it what you will, but when you connect with the tunes from these lovable misfits, you’ll feel as if you just met your five new best friends. The video for their first album single, New Friends, earned a premiere on MTV Buzzworthy. In 2014, their colleges dates included time with Grouplove, and other notable bookings for 2014 include Riotfest with Weezer, New Found Glory, Slayer and many more.

Are you looking for unique and fun ways to increase teamwork and collaboration between student leaders? If you answered yes, then you need to attend this session!  Using your web enabled phone or tablet you’ll personally experience how Digital Team Building Games can increase student engagement, connection between students leaders and organizations on campus, while developing leadership skills and having fun!
Educational Session Block 2, Fri April 8, 9:00am “The Art of Connecting: How to Motivate, Influence, and Relate to Anybody” Success is not about what you know, it’s NOT EVEN about WHO YOU KNOW, it’s about who you are connected with. Your ability to develop meaningful relationships is the key to engaging people on campus, creating a cohesive bond within your executive board, landing your dream job, and living an enriched life. In this session, you’ll learn how to create an instant connection with anybody, conversation topics that will keep a discussion going, and how to get someone you just met to want to go out of their way to help you to achieve your goals. After learning these important strategies, you’ll have the opportunity to apply what you just learned by connecting with others in the session

How to Get the Most Out of Your Interactions With Artists and Agencies” As an artist, business owner and his over 20 years within the college and university market, Sailesh Jiawan has seen the business from all perspectives. Now as owner of his own agency, he assists other artists and brokers deals with buyers while maintaining a busy schedule for his own art. During this Educational session, Sailesh will draw from his experience as a performer and agency owner to provide insight and instruction for programming boards as they work with agencies and artists to plan events.  Sailesh will outline what buyers can expect when they work with an agency, what buyers can and should request from the agency to assist in their event planning and what pitfalls to avoid when working with an agency or artist.

Using a stunning mix of humor, magic and mind-reading, Nash mesmerizes audiences.With over 18 years of experience, Nash shines on stage. Event planners swear by Nash’s show to wow their clients. Nash is devoted to expanding the art of magic and sharing his passion with the world. He also mentors other magicians internationally. Nash gained national exposure as a featured performer on Penn & Teller’s Fool Us on the CW Network in the Summer of 2015.    
The Body Poets Body Poets Urban Dance Troupe Showcase 6, Sat April 9, 8:00pm The Body Poets are an eclectic group of dancers who harness the raw energy of street performance and dress it up for the stage with unique costumes and special effects. They bring a level of artistry and theatrics that is rarely seen in the world of urban dance. An internet sensation with over 1 Million views YouTube, it was only a matter of time until mainstream media took notice. Members of The Body Poets have appeared on TruTV’s Fake Off, America’s Got Talent and So You Think You Can Dance. The Body Poets are currently based in Las Vegas where they perform regularly, but it’s their touring show that has audiences all over the country cheering, laughing and mesmerized.
