Mia Nicole Leslie was born in Washington, DC and raised in Hyattsville and Laurel, Maryland. She is a 6’2″ self-taught artist with a sharp eye for creating accessorized mask-like face-paintings based on your attire and one-of-a-kind exotic masquerade masks. Since 2003, she has designed Face creations for many clientele, including The National DC Smithsonian Institution, the Fashion Awards of Maryland, and the Main Street Festival of Laurel, Maryland. She is a three-time winner of the Lee Andersen Award for Makeup and Wearable Art in the annual ManneqArt competition.
Mia not only has a knack to paint faces and make masks, but also the gift to see the inner beauty in every human she meets. She is an advocate for love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Designing Face creations is her absolute passion, and therefore thoroughly enjoys sharing her body of work with the world as she walks in her purpose.
