Showcasing Spoken Word Artist iCON

SHA’CONDRIA “iCON” SIBLEY is a national championship poet and multi-disciplinary teaching artist. Her slam accomplishments include becoming the first woman and non-Texan to ever win Texas Grand Slam and currently ranking as the #3 female poet in the world. A founding member of Team Slam New Orleans, she helped the team win multiple regional and national titles.

iCon  made her national television debut on the 3rd season of TV One’s Verses and Flow. Her work has been featured on many national and international outlets such as Upworthy, Huffington Post, Marie Claire, Teen Vogue, and BET. She also earned the honor of being a part of the first poetry act to ever grace the main stage at Essence Festival 2016.

iCon’s work goes beyond page and stage. She is the host and organizer of the Rhythm & Rhymes Spoken Word Performing Arts Series, which includes open mics and workshops. She also teaches poetry to inmates at a federal correctional facility.

Matthew ShapiroMatthew Shapiro is a spirited and charismatic speaker and consultant, born with cerebral palsy. He entertains and enlightens his audiences as to how they can become “their own wrecking ball.” While sharing basic disability etiquette and an engaging story about his life, Matthew empowers his audiences to break free of their comfort zones by encouraging them to exceed their goals and minimizing their limitations. Matthew’s wheelchair was his safety net. Leaving it caused him tremendous trepidation, as he was not fully experiencing life. Through the persuasion of a friend, he attended an event that changed his life FOREVER! He overcame his fears while placing his life in the hands of others. His messages have won him the accolades of many. He was named Style Weekly’s Top 40 Under 40 in Richmond, VA; Profiled in Virginia Business Magazine, Honored as Recipient of the Trailblazer Award Virginia Democratic Party, 2017 and even served the Obama Administration in the Office of Public Engagement and Intergovernmental Affairs.

 

Joshua Fredenburg is a Nationally Recognized Speaker, Author, Leadership Expert, and Television/Radio Commentator that is on a mission to empower at least 1 BILLION LEADERS WORLDWIDE with effective leadership, career, relationship, and success strategies that will enable them to make a positive impact in their community, nation, and world. During the past seven years, Joshua has appeared as a television guest on BET, the Wayne Brady Show, the KTLA Morning Show in Los Angeles, the Daily Buzz Nation Morning Show, and many other familiar radio and television programs throughout the country. He has also served as a dynamic speaker in 44 different states for non-profit organizations, lectures, leadership conferences, retreats, and trainings at high schools, colleges, and various corporate events.

In addition to his successful speaking and television career, Joshua has published four books, has developed an annual national leadership conference entitled, the Circle of Change Leadership Conference, that prepares student leaders in college for executive-level leadership positions after graduation and connects student leaders with executives from companies such as Pepsi, Columbia Pictures, Hewlett Packard, CNN, Fox Searchlight Productions, NBC Universal, UPS, VH1, Nestle, Chipotle, Starbucks, and American Airlines to name a few.
