Abby Bland, a Kansas City poet and performer, has been published in Ghost City Review and What Are Birds?, with her debut chapbook released in 2020. A notable presence in slam poetry, she was a finalist on the Kansas City Slam stage, competed in national slams, and represented Kansas City at the 2020 Woman of the World Poetry Slam. In 2022, she earned an ArtsKC Inspiration grant for her spoken word comedy show, blending poetry with humor to explore mental health and personal growth.
