Rebecca Smith founded Thrifty, a mobile app that helps people sell things they no longer use by matching them with a Manager who sells the items and splits the revenue. Rebecca’s journey started when she finished college as a single mom and needed a side hustle to make ends meet. While going to school, Rebecca began purchasing used and liquidated items  and would resell them at a markup as a way to earn cash. Prior to founding Thrifty, Rebecca owned and exited several successful business ventures including a product line that sold on the Home Shopping Network and another product line that was licensed by the Collegiate Licensing Company. Rebecca speaks on topics ranging from sustainability to entrepreneurship, highlighting concepts like starting small with humble beginnings, and pursuing a path of least resistance to earn extra cash. Rebecca’s mission is to educate and empower others on how to earn extra income through successful side hustles.
